Rafael Valderrábano

Board Member

Rafael is the founder and president of Basico Real Estate (2009), a real estate management and services company, born in the financial and real estate crisis and which today has +200 employees and 6 regional offices. From Basico RE he has participated of the profound transformation of the Spanish real estate market and especially the residential sector, working for major international investment funds, financial institutions and Spanish housing developers.

Previously, he worked at Metrovacesa, S.A. (2004-2009), as director of the Residential Development area; he resided in Chile, between 1998-2004, where he founded and served as CEO of Habitaria, S.A. -joint venture between Quiñenco, S.A. (Luksic Family) and Ferrovial Inmobiliaria, S.A.. Previously, he worked as Commercial Director at Ferrovial Inmobiliaria, S.A. and Director of Expansion in Shopping Centers at Riofisa, S.A.

He has been professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (subject: Business Creation, 305-C) and at ESE of the Universidad de los Andes. He collaborates with the NGO “Sumando sonrisas con Emma”.

He holds a degree in Business Administration and Management from ICADE (E-2) and an MBA from IESE.
